WCMM at Umeå University commences 2017 with its first three Wallenberg Molecular Medicine Fellows in place - Francesca Aguilo, Daniel Öhlund and Lars-Anders Carlson.

Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine is a long-term investment in tenure track positions for young researchers in molecular medicine and translational research. WCMM researcher receives grant from the Human Frontier Science Program

The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) has awarded a Career Development Award of 300,000 USD over three years to Lars-Anders Carlson to support the research in his new laboratory at Umeå University. Lars-Anders Carlson was recently recruited from UC Berkeley to the new Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM). He uses advanced microscopy methods to reveal how human RNA viruses replicate inside cells. Read more

Cancerforskaren Daniel Öhlund får ett speciellt Fellowship i pankreasforskning från Cancerfonden.
